The Evangelical Theological Society

http://www.etsjets.org

Power Advent recently released an initial launch of an extensive e-commerce system and online community for the Evangelical Theological Society, an international academic organization with over 4,000 members.

Released Features:

Complete Site Redesign

Power Advent redesigned the ETS web site to achieve an online presence for the society that is at once intensely pragmatic and uniquely modern.

E-commerce System

The e-commerce system developed by Power Advent allows applicants to sign up for membership in the ETS, renew their membership in the ETS, or subscribe to the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, an academic and peer-reviewed journal published quarterly.

ETS Member & Subscriber Accounts

Power Advent created over 4,000 unique online accounts for members of the society and subscribers to the ETS journal. From within this system, members or subscribers may dynamically update their personal contact information on file with the society, participate in informative polls, renew their membership/subscription, or leave live feedback on content published by the ETS. In the future, members will also be able to access several community driven features such as online message boards.

ETS Member E-mail Accounts

Power Advent created a custom e-mail account for all active members of the ETS, and enabled them to easily check their e-mail from a custom themed online webmail solution.

Administrative Features

In order to allow the ETS to easily manage their online web site, Power Advent created customized features that are only accessible by ETS web site administrators. These features include: database management tools, e-commerce administration tools, user management tools, and an e-mail mass mailing application. In addition, Power Advent also enabled the ETS to easily manage the textual content on the ETS site by integrating a turnkey Content Management Solution (CMS).

Upcoming Features:

JETS Library

An online library of the Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society (JETS) will allow members of the ETS to browse more than 48 years of theological thought and research. Users will be able to read the journals from within their browsers in a text-based format, print journal articles in a printer-friendly format, or download the journals in PDF format. Additionally, an innovative annotation application will allow users to make, keep track of, and share journal annotations.

Community Forums

All members of the Evangelical Theological Society will be able to conduct discussions using a creative and intuitive online forum.

Member Web Logs

All members of the ETS will be able to use the web site as their personal publishing platform with the release of individual user web logs. These web logs will be accessible by other members of the ETS as well as the general public, and will be syndicated using RSS feeds.
